Hospital Finances Rebound in Q1 of 2009

The end to healthcare’s downturn may be near. A Thomson Reuters’ Center for Healthcare Improvement report found positive operating margins in the first quarter of 2009 for all size categories of hospitals. And, the number of hospitals operating in the red is down to 30% in the first quarter of 2009, compared to 50% in the third quarter of 2008.
